Cliffs of Moher & Burren Day Tour from Cork
Starts At: After breakfast your driver-guide will meet you at your Cork city accommodation at 08hrs and bring you on a full day tour (up to 11 hours) to the Wild Atlantic Way travelling via Bunratty Castle (refreshment stop if required) to visit the famous Cliffs of Moher and unique limestone region of the Burren.
The Route: Our route takes us up past Limerick city and the famous River Shannon, via the 15th Century Bunratty Castle and straight over to the beautiful Cliffs of Moher. This drive takes 3.5 hours hours with a small refreshment stop on route and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the Cliff Visitor Centre before strolling along the towering cliffs themselves. After your visit to the Cliffs, we will continue along the coast to the famous traditional music village of Doolin for some lunch.
The Burren: After lunch, your tour will take you through parts of the Burren region. This unique limestone region is one of the few places on earth where you can touch the bedrock of the earths crust. This region is famous for its flora and fauna and boasts many artisan food producers and interesting sights along the way. Return via Ennis before crossing back over the River Shannon to Cork for the end of your tour.
