Starts At: At 09.30h your expert driver-guide will collect you at your Dublin starting point for your exciting 4 day tour of the west of Ireland. Your driver-guide will be available to answer any questions you may have as you travel over the coming days so you can make the most of your time with us and experience the best that Ireland has to offer.
This tour includes a luxury touring vehicle, expert driver-guide, all road tolls, full vehicle insurance and complimentary bottled water each day of your tour. Admission charges to attractions are not included in the tour price.
Client accommodation is not included in this package, with years of experience, we know that every person is different and as a result, we allow our clients to choose their own accommodation to suit their needs. We are happy to recommend accommodation in each location varying from 4/5* accommodation to luxury guesthouses and Bed and Breakfasts all of which we can highly recommend.
Day 1:
Highlights include: Rock of Cashel, Adare village, Muckross House
Departing from Dublin this morning, our first stop will be at one of Irelands most historical sites the Rock of Cashel, once the seat of the high kings of Munster, the Rock of Cashel was transformed into a monastic site and has some of Irelands best examples of monastic buildings including a round tower which dates over 900 years. From Cashel, we will continue to Adare village for lunch. This charming town has many thatched cottages as well as a 13th century abbey in the centre of the town. After a short time in Adare, we will continue to the bustling town of Killarney on the Ring of Kerry where we will go to Killarney national park and visit Muckross House and Gardens. Check into your accommodation for your dinner and overnight in Killarney.
Day 2:
Option 1 Highlights include: Ring of Kerry Tour
This tour needs no introduction. Today you will be taken on a full day tour of the Ring of Kerry taking in many of the beautiful scenic locations as well as ancient monuments and small attractions that the Ring of Kerry has to offer. Your tour will take you through Killorglin which annually elects a goat as king of its festival, Cahirsiveen is a lively little town where the great liberator Daniel O’Connell was born. Waterville and Sneem also have many interesting stories and characters as we return towards Killarney through the mountains for your dinner and overnight.
Option 2 Highlights include: Dingle Slea Head Tour
Like the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and the Slea Head is where Irish culture and scenery collide. Dingle itself is an Irish speaking town full of interesting shops, bars, crafts and a hive of activity. The Slea Head is a scenic drive by Cliffside roads, ancient sites dot the landscape as we meander through the countryside stopping at the many points of interest. Returning through Dingle, enjoy lunch in the town before we make our way back to Killarney where a visit to Ross Castle or a Jaunting Cart horseride through the Gap of Dunloe might be a fun way to see Ireland as it was in centuries past. Return to Killarney for your final dinner and overnight in the area.
Day 3:
Highlights include: Cliffs of Moher, Burren, Bunratty/Dromoland
Today we will depart Killarney and say goodbye to Kerry as we head north, taking a small ferry over the Shannon Estuary we arrive in Co Clare and make our way straight up to the infamous Cliffs of Moher. These imposing cliffs offer unparalleled views over the Atlantic as they bear the full force of the Wild Atlantic Way. From the cliffs, we will stop in the small village of Doolin for lunch before taking in the ancient sites and scenery of the Burren. The Burren is a limestone region full of unique flora and fauna and many beautiful towns and villages. We will stop at Poulnabrone Dolmen which dates back nearly 6,000 years as we take in all the area has to offer. Continue down to Dromoland Castle for your final nights stay on this great tour or perhaps overnight in Bunratty and book into a medieval banquet in the 15th Century castle.
Day 4:
Highlights include: King Johns Castle, Killaloe, National Stud to Dublin
Our final day takes us into Limerick City with a visit to King Johns Castle which dates back to Viking times. Enjoy a full tour of this ancient Norman Castle before we continue up the Shannon river to stop in Killaloe for lunch overlooking the river. Driving onwards, we will make our way into Horseracing countryside to visit the only Stud farm visitor centre. This is a really interesting place and portal in the world of horseracing. Visit the horse museum which tells the story of mans relationship with horses. View the skeleton of Arkle, arguably the most successful racehorse in world history. See the Studs themselves, learn about their value and also see the paddocks of these great horses, both current and former champions. Here you can also visit the millennium gardens and the 100 year old Japanese Gardens. Departing the National Stud, we will continue to Dublin where you driver will point out some highlights as you make your way to your accommodation where your driver will bid you farewell and your Dublin city adventure begins.

It also includes your driver-guides living expenses while touring including lunches, dinners and overnight accommodation while outside of Dublin.

This tour is based on an 8 hour touring day eg 09.30h to 17.30h following the tour route outlined. Should you require evening transportation from your accommodation to restaurant or for bar music, this can be discussed directly with your driver-guide and you can agree a specific rate or he can help you organise local evening transport as you wish.
