General FAQ.

How Many People do you Take on Tours?

The minimum is 1 person and the maximum is 10 people.

Do you take Children?

Privately booked tours we can as they are much more accommodating to family groups and children of all ages. On our weekly tours, its recommended children are aged 16 and upwards to get the most out of the experience for everyone involved.

Can I pre-book a specific seat?

Everyone gets a Window Seat & everyone gets a Captain seat with armrests. We also have a phone charging point at each seat on the mini coach.

Can group tour itineraries change?

Your tour will always follow the itinerary as closely as possible. While there are ongoing coronavirus restrictions throughout  Ireland, itineraries are more likely to change than usual as opening hours and capacities at many visitor attractions are reduced and subject to change. Your driver-guide will keep you up to date on the road, and we'll try to get in touch about any large changes prior to your departure.

What Currency do you use?

We use the Euro in the Republic of Ireland. Some tours go to Northern Ireland so you would need Sterling when up in Northern Ireland.

What are your cancellation policies?

For Day Tours - Cancellation more than 7 days prior to departure a 20% non refundable charge will apply for admin/booking costs. Cancellation within 7 days 50% non refundable charge will apply. Cancellation within 48 hours of tour start time, 100% charge is applied.

For Private Multi Day Tours - Cancellation more than 14 days prior to departure a 20% non refundable charge will apply for admin/booking costs. Cancellation within 14 days 50% non refundable charge will apply. Cancellation within 48 hours of tour start time, 100% charge is applied.

For Small luxury group tours - Cancellation more than 30 days prior to departure a 20% non refundable charge will apply for admin/booking costs. Cancellation within 30 days 50% non refundable charge will apply. Cancellation within 7 days of tour start time, 100% charge is applied.

Do we need to book restaurants as we travel?

Your Driver/Guide will be happy to recommend places to eat to suit all budgets as you travel.

Do you book Accommodation?

At present we don’t but we are happy to recommend great places to suit all individuals and budgets in each place we tour.

How long are the days Touring?

Each itinerary has a daily touring duration listed to give you an idea of time spent on the road.  On private tours, the average touring day is 8 hours.

Are there Luggage Restrictions?

You're restricted to 14kg (31lbs) of luggage per person. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) and a small bag for onboard personal items.

What about travel insurance?

We advise you take out travel insurance.

Do you supply Bottled Water?

No, we no longer supply plastic bottled water, we recommend you bring your own cup & it can be refilled everyday before you depart your accommodation. Its also better for the environment 😉

Departure and Pick-up FAQ.

Where do your group tours depart from?

We depart from the Aisling Hotel in Dublin for the weekly departing tours.

Where do private day tours and extended tours depart from in Dublin?

For Privately booked tours we meet clients at their Hotel or accommodation.

When should I get to the departure point?

Arrive 20 minutes before your departure time. We Depart on time in order to get everything done for the day.

Do you offer hotel pickups in Dublin?

Our weekley departing Tours leave from a chosen location in Dublin.

If you are booking a Private Tour your Driver/ Guide will meet you at your hotel.

Services & Facilities FAQ.

Do you have wifi?

No, as a rule we don’t have wifi on the mini coach.  Wifi is wildly available throughout Ireland but we recommend you switch off, relax and enjoy the scenery as you travel.

Do you get time to explore & visit Attractions?

Yes. Our Tours are at a relaxed pace so you will have time to visit attractions, explore towns & villages and there will be lots of Photo Stops along the way.

Are there toilets on the bus?

There are no on-board toilet facilities as its a mini coach but we  have regular comfort breaks.

Do we need to bring our own lunch?

No. We stop in small towns & villages so you will have time to have lunch in a Cafe or Pub.

What about travel insurance?

Tour FAQ.

When is the best time to Travel to Ireland?

Anytime throughout the year is great to travel around Ireland. The Spring & Summer months are the best weather wise and you have longer daylight hours.

What clothes should I wear for this day tour?

We suggest you bring layers of clothing and a rain jacket. When outdoors, it can be windy so its always best to be prepared.

Is lunch included on private tours?

No, lunch is not included but your driver guide will ensure you stop at a nice traditional place on your tour.

What is the maximum number of people allowed on a tour?

5 People guarantees everyone gets a window seat, our vehicles can take 6 passengers though so feel free to contact us if your group size is 6 people.

If you are booking a Private Tour your Driver/ Guide will meet you at your hotel.

How much luggage can we take?

We generally recommend a luggage amount of 1 large and 1 carry on size case per person that you are capable of carrying yourself.
