Tour Overview

After a leisurely breakfast your driver-guide will meet you at your hotel at 10hrs and bring you on a full 8 hour day tour of the south Dublin coast and into Co Wicklow. Your Day tour takes in some beautiful sights and attractions along the way so sit back, enjoy the scenery as your driver-guide brings this area to life with local history, stories and folklore

The Route.

Glendalough - Lunch - Powerscourt.

Leaving Dublin, your route will take you down by Dun Laoghaire which is now a fashionable town with huge leisure craft harbour and popular spot with the locals, continue via Sandycove, FortyFoot swimming spot, through the beautiful Victorian village of Dalkey arriving up at Powerscourt Estate and Gardens in Enniskerry in Co Wicklow. Lunch locally in Wicklow before continuing to Glendalough national park and monastery. Return to Dublin

At Powerscourt and Glendalough

Powerscourt Estate is a magnificent house and its gardens are framed by the Sugar Loaf mountain and provide a wonderful opportunity to walk through beautiful flowing Italian Gardens, Japanese Gardens and Walled Gardens. The house is partly restored but the real beauty are what are considered Ireland’s best gardens.

Glendalough Monastery and National Park which offers a great collection of churches and a round tower dating back 1,000 years as well as lakeside walks.

Lunch

Enjoy a superb lunch at the award winning Avoca Cafe or perhaps a pub lunch in the nearby Roundwood village (Ireland’s highest village).
